Free Me |
|

After a powerful first run,
and 6 nominations at the 2025 Kenya Theatre Awards; Gathoni
Kimuyu’s deeply personal stage production is back by popular
demand and this time; louder, braver and even more necessary.
Based on a true story, FREE ME (Original works, research
written by Magunga Williams) follows the life of one woman
from her teenagehood to adulthood and integrates her life as
it happens. In her early twenties, she gets married which
turns out to be extremely violent. It explores her
resilience and her survival instincts, giving a voice to the
pain that too often remains hidden because of shame and the
victory of being free.
The title, goes both ways: it is a desperate cry for help
and a victory anthem for someone who made it out alive. If
you missed it, here’s your chance to see FREE ME and if you
watched it, you know why you need to come back but also tell
a friend.

Suave After Dark IV - late Night Comedy |
|

When the lights dim at
Suave Kitchen & Social Club, the night shifts into
something a little more electric. Suave After Dark is
where the venue transforms into a late-night playground
of comedy, music, conversation and unexpected moments.
It is looser, riskier and often funnier than the main
show. Comedians drop in to try wild new material,
musicians jump on stage, and the room takes on the
feeling of a late-night house party with a stage. You
might see surprise guests. You might hear stories that
would never make it into the early show. You might end
up staying much longer than planned. It is intimate,
unpredictable and always alive. Welcome to the part of
the night that only begins after midnight.
