Based on a true story, FREE ME (Original works, research written by Magunga Williams) follows the life of one woman from her teenagehood to adulthood and integrates her life as it happens. In her early twenties, she gets married which turns out to be extremely violent. It explores her resilience and her survival instincts, giving a voice to the pain that too often remains hidden because of shame and the victory of being free.
The title, goes both ways: it is a desperate cry for help and a victory anthem for someone who made it out alive. If you missed it, here’s your chance to see FREE ME and if you watched it, you know why you need to come back but also tell a friend.

Katie Simpson is a Kenyan painter whose work is an act of witness to the animals, landscapes, and fragile ecologies that shaped her from childhood. Born in Kenya and formed by an artistic environment surrounded by nature, the colours and textures of Africa have never left her. They are the ground from which everything else grows. Colour Untamed brings that lifelong conversation into full focus. Her paintings are ethereal explorations of the earth’s fragility and wildlife’s vulnerability, attempts to catch fleeting moments before they vanish, subjects held briefly in abstracted, luminous space. There is urgency in that impulse. Kenya’s wild places are changing, and Simpson paints in response – not with polemic, but with something more tender and more lasting.
