begins as polite conversation soon erupts into arguments
about power, identity, devolution, and democracy. Today, as
many Kenyans question leadership and whether the
Constitution is being upheld or stretched, these debates
feel more urgent than ever. Because the Constitution was
written to restrain power and protect citizens. Written by
celebrated Kenyan actor, playwright, journalist, and
cultural commentator John Sibi-Okumu , one of the country’s
most respected voices in theatre and public discourse.
Playreading Kenya is proud to present the premiere reading
of this powerful radio play. A dinner conversation becomes a
mirror of the nation. The Constitution is still on the
